Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi has told Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza to use her cleric skills to negotiate and agree with MCAs.

Elachi said Mwangaza can solve Meru's problem by understanding the County Government Act.

"I believe Mwangaza has good skills in negotiations as a bishop. She should use those skills to negotiate and agree with the MCAs," she said.

On Sunday, Mwangaza reached out to President William Ruto to help restore peace in Meru.

"The Bible says that blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God, It is my prayer that God through the President will restore peace in Meru," she said.

Mwangaza said that just like Ruto, she too has been through many tribulations.

“Our beloved President, the great servant of God, David and I are in the same WhatsApp group. We have gone through a lot of suffering but God also saved us,” she said.

The county chief urged those going through hard times that God would also come through for them at their hour of need.

Mwangaza is a bishop at Baite Family Fellowship Church in Meru.

The Governor has been facing a tough time in Meru after MCAs tabled a motion to impeach her.

On November 30, Justice Wamae Cherere barred her impeachment.

“The motion did not follow the correct procedure in initiating a removal of the governor,” Cherere said.
