Making a steak for your friends and loved ones is very easy from the comfort of your home.

Marinating your steak will ensure it is tender and soft for easy chewing and cutting.

Marination also helps infuse flavour into the steak.

First, coat your steak with a bit of olive oil before adding salt as this helps to create a nice surface texture.

Spread your steak at least 1 inch apart to allow each steak to cook thoroughly.

Ingredients

  • Steak Strip, Ribeye and T-bone
  • Vegetables for oiling grill grates
  • Salt to taste(coarse salt)
  • Pepper to taste
  • Butter ½ tablespoon per steak

 

Preparation

Step 1

Ensure your steak is at room temperature.

Step 2

Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper and let it rest.

Step 3

Wipe your grill clean

Step 4

Heat your grill to 200 degrees C.

Step 5

Spray or wipe oil onto the grill grates to coat to avoid meat getting charred.

Step 6

Place your steak on a hot grill after rubbing butter and cook from 3 to 6 minutes on each side depending on your steak doneness preference.

Step 7

Flip the steak over and grill for an additional 4 to 6 minutes until the steak is cooked to your preference.

Step 8

Remove from the grill and allow to rest a minimum of 5 minutes before cutting or serving.

Enjoy with fresh fries, mashed potatoes, or stir fry vegetables.
