AZIMIO BRIGADE Fake social media post alluding to Jalang'o vying for Langata MP on an ANC ticket.

Reports that former Kiss 100 radio presenter Felix Odiwour, aka Jalang’o, will be vying for Lang'ata MP on the ANC ticket are false.

A misleading post that went viral on social media had a picture of Jalang'o with the Amani National Congress party logo on the bottom right.

Jalang'o flagged the post as fake and said he is a lifetime party member of ODM.

Last July, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna handed Jalang'o the life membership certificate.

“This is purely propaganda. I’m still going for the Lang'ata parliamentary seat under the ODM ticket,” he told the Star on Friday.

Last month, Jalang'o was flanked by Azimio la Umoja members as they traversed Lang'ata during a campaign tour.

Jalang’o, who resigned from Radio Africa Group in February, has hit the ground running, becoming a popular name in the Azimio movement.

“I am going to be the next MP of Lang'ata. Youths change your votes. Come and vote for us to build a new Lang'ata. I am campaigning for myself and I am very serious,” Jalang’o said.

He however said if his bid flops, he will go back to being a radio personality.

“I have never done anything that I have to lose. God forbid…if I lose, is that the end of the world? We pick up from where we left and move on. I have even been made to sign a very hard contract here… that if I lose, I will be in the studio the next day,” Jalango said.

He will be up against incumbent Nick Korir who is seeking a second term under Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance party.
