Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders in Kilifi Country have predicted election victory on August 9 with a margin of 70 per cent.

They said the county remains an ODM stronghold and are optimistic that even the remaining 30 per cent who are still undecided shall make up their mind on the election day to vote for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya and all other ODM candidates seeking different positions.

To them Kilifi people will still vote six-piece in favour of ODM and the other parties such as the Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) shall lose by a very big margin.

At the same time, the leaders and residents have thanked ODM for choosing Fikirini Jacobs a youth from Bamba in the Ganze constituency to be Nominated senator.

The party's Chairman in Kilifi County Teddy Mwambire, who is also the Ganze Member of Parliament, said when they go to campaign in some areas people tell them that they have already made a decision that their president is Raila.

Speaking at the Kang'amboni area of his constituency after officially laying the foundation for the teddy Mwambire Secondary school, he said they have already laid down enough strategies to protect Raila's votes and ensure that he wins.

"Kilifi by today even when you look at those doing opinion polls it shows we shall win by over 70 per cent. What remains now is to ensure we protect our votes and make sure people turn out in large numbers to vote. That is very important," he said.

Currently, he said, even PAA candidates are campaigning for President Raila instead of their Kenya Kwanza partner which shows the former Prime Minister is the one who is going to become president.

He hailed ODM for nominating one of their own as senator saying it shows that the party values them adding that there are also other nominations for MCAs

Douglas Charo a former Councillor from Sokoke also thanked Raila for the nomination to the senate.

"Thank you Baba for nominating Fikirini Jacobs as senator of the republic of Kenya God bless you as you head to become president," he said.

Victor Rimba said they are proud of their fellow youth to get such nominations in the senate.

"We thank even the ODM party leader for this nomination and we are very happy to have a representation," he said.
