Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has bashed calls by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on six piece voting pattern.

According to Kivutha, the Wiper six piece voting call is diluting the Ukambani leaders’ effort to sell Azimio.

“His obsession with Wiper 6 piece suit is diluting our effort to sell Azimio. But we are soldiering on because victory comes at a cost. Time for Ukambani's freedom is soon,” he said on Friday.

Kivutha further claimed that with Kalonzo being overly preoccupied with promoting only Wiper candidates, means he is blurring the Azimio-UDA divide.

The former Vice-President, while intensifying his Azimio la Umoja’s vote-hunt in Ukambani last month, challenged locals to vote six-piece in favour of Wiper candidates.

He even revisited his shelved presidential bid accusing three Ukambani governors, Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui), of allegedly curtailing his race to State House.

Kalonzo said Governor Kibwana’s move to drop out of the presidential race to vie for a senatorial seat was a total contradiction.

On Tuesday, Wiper Party officials from Kilifi said even though they are members of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance it was wrong for the ODM leadership to tell people to only vote for their party candidates.

Sheikh Twaha Jabu, who is the Wiper Party Chairman in Mombasa County, said if the ODM party wanted six-piece voting they would not have formed a coalition.

Meanwhile, Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has asked his supporters to vote six piece to give him the numerical strength in parliament that he needs to run the government.

Speaking when he kicked off five-day marathon rallies across six counties, Odinga layed out his concerns that his administration may be held back by the William Ruto led Kenya Kwanza Alliance should they obtain a majority in the House.

"Don't just vote for me and Martha, include the other Azimio leaders. If you just vote for me and Martha, we will experience problems in running the government," he stated.
