Murang’a Seal head coach Gabriel 'Kingi' Njoroge has exuded confidence ahead of their crunch tie against Tusker on Sunday.

The Kenyan Premier League newbies will lock horns with the Ruaraka-based Brewers at St. Sebastian Park in  Murang'a.

Seal head to the match on the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Nairobi City Stars at the same venue on Wednesday.

"We have had a good run and that has been vital in strengthening our resolve to stamp authority in the competition," Njoroge said.

"We are aware our upcoming fixture against Tusker will not be a walk in the park but we are determined to continue our good results. We will be at home and can't afford to let our fans down. We are going for maximum points," he added.

Meanwhile, Shabana head coach Sammy Okoth has tipped his charges to crack maximum points against  Bandari at Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa on Sunday.

Okoth said their impressive performance in the narrow 1-0 loss to champions, Gor Mahia, is a clear testimony that their form has vastly improved and they are now ripe for the big stage.

"There is no doubt that the squad has grown significantly in performance since our first Kenyan Premier League match. You saw how well we played against Gor Mahia on Wednesday and that is a true reflection of our current form," Okoth said.

"Of course, we are expecting a tough match against Bandari who are coming from a significant win against Kenya Police. I have confidence we shall prevail in the match," he added.

Okoth further rubbished talks of his resignation, insisting he is still in charge. In other matches scheduled for the weekend, Sofapaka will flex muscles with Talanta  at  Kasarani Annex, Nairobi on Saturday.

Posta Rangers will settle scores with KCB at  Kasarani Annex, Nairobi. On Sunday, Nairobi City Stars have a date with AFC Leopards at Moi Stadium, Kasarani on the same day as Nzoia Sugar host Kariobangi Sharks at Sudi Stadium, Bungoma.

Muhoroni Youth will seek to redeem themselves from a heavy 3-0 loss at the hands of Bidco United at Kasarani Annex on Wednesday when they face Kakamega Homeboyz at Muhoroni Stadium, Muhoroni.

Champions Gor Mahia have an arduous task against wounded Kenya Police at Kasarani Main Stadium, Nairobi.

The law enforcers will be eager to bounce back from their narrow 3-2 defeat to Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club. Ulinzi Stars have a tricky tie against Bidco United at the Ulinzi Complex Stadium in Nairobi.

Both sides head to the encounter buoyed by significant wins in their last fixtures on Wednesday. Whereas Bidco United thumped Muhoroni Youth 3-0 at Kasarani Annex, Ulinzi stunned Tusker 1-0 at Ruaraka.
