Tanzania Bongo star, Ali Kiba has launched his own media company in celebration of his 20-year journey in the music industry.
Kiba said during the celebration on Sunday that his inspiration stems from the media being a big influencer in his career growth.
Some of the notable leaders and celebrities who joined him in the launch included former Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete and fellow singer Ommy Dimpoz among others.
This media house will include a TV and radio station(Crown TV Crown FM), a digital media platform(Crown Digital) and an events brand under the name Crown Media.
He also mentioned that he has also been a big consumer of media as he loved listening to the radio.
"Media is a very powerful tool, It is the media that turned me into today's Ali Kiba. I never used to sleep without a radio which I was gutted by my dad," Ali Kiba said.
"Since I was born I was a lover of sound, radio precisely and it was my dream to start a media house which I have."
Jakaya Kikwete congratulated the singer on his endeavors noting that he is one of best best-performing young artists.
"As a lover of Bongo Flavour I listen to many young musicians, Ali Kiba being one of them and I love the fact that he is doing great and should forge on," Kikwete said.
Dimpoz narrated how their journey began with the Utu hitmaker and he was proud of his friend's new venture.
"I remember when I met with Ali Kiba he was such a vibrant young man and when we made our first song together he was very admirable, correcting me as we recorded the song," Dimpoz said.
"I love my brother so much and we have forged a strong relationship as you can see. Today am glad of his new venture."
Kiba is a renowned musician who began his music career in 2004 when he released his first song ‘Maria’ and later "Cinderella" which became the best-selling album in East Africa.
He launched his second album, ‘Ali K 4 Real,’ in 2009, with famous hits such as 'Usiniseme' and ‘Nakshi Mrembo.
He has won awards such as the Best Rhumba/Zouk Song at the 2012 Kili Music Award,the Best artist in East Africa at the African Music Awards in 2009 and Best Male Artists.
