Azimio la Umoja Coalition leader Raila Odinga has challenged Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to disclose his father's service number in the pre-colonial Mau Mau movement.
Raila spoke on Monday at an Azimio press briefing in the upper hill, Nairobi.
The former Prime Minister challenged Gachagua to disclose his father's Mau Mau service number as he had previously claimed he is a son of Mau Mau.
Raila has refuted Gachagua's claims as he insists the Deputy President is a descendant of those who collaborated with the British colonisers.
"We want you to come clean and tell Kenyans what is your relationship with Chief Nderi Gachagua the collaborator. So that people can understand. Also, tell us if your father was a Mau Mau what was his service number in the movement?" Raila posed.
Raila claims that the Deputy President is a descendant of the late Chief Nderi Gachagua Wang'ombe who was assassinated by the Mau Mau in 1953 because of his collaboration with the Briton colonial regime.
The late Chief Nderi Gachagua and the Deputy President both hail from hailed from Mathira constituency.
But Gachagua is not the only one who has claimed to be a son of Mau Mau.
Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah has also claimed the bragging rights of being a Mau Mau descendant.
Raila also challenged Ichung'wah to disclose his father's Mau Mau serial number.
Further, the ODM party leader told the two Kenya Kwanza leaders to disclose in which forests their fathers fought as Mau Mau.
