Eighteen Huduma centre branches across the country will start operating from 7am to 7pm effective December 5.

The Public Service CS Aisha Jumwa earlier this month announced a plan to extent Huduma centres working hours in eighteen centres within the next 100 days.

“The ministry has commenced extending working hours on a shift basis for the Huduma Contact Centre from 7 am to 9 pm,” Jumwa said a day after taking oath of office.

The 18 include Nairobi GPO, City Square, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh, Kiambu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, Laikipia, Kisii, Kitale, Kericho, Kakamega, Kisumu and Mombasa centres.

The centres targeted will operate on a shift basis from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to enhance convenience in accessing services.

The services to be offered during these hours include issuance of police abstract, issuance of birth and death certificate, issuance of police clearance certificate, KRA, Helb, cyber café and information desk.

Jumwa, who was speaking at the GPO Huduma Centre also announced that the government will add 100 huduma centres across the country to bring services closer to citizens.
