Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi now says that President William Ruto has remained true to his pre-election agreement with Amani National Congress and Ford Kenya parties.

The parties were led by Mudavadi and National Assembly speaker Moses Wetang'ula. Mudavadi resigned as ANC leader to take up his new role.

Speaking on West TV, the Prime CS said the coalition agreement that resulted in the formation of Kenya Kwanza was binding and its implementation has already started.

Mudavadi insisted that President Ruto means well for the Western region.

He added that all that is required of them is to fully support the development agenda of the government and promise to stand with Ruto in the next general election, in 2027.

“In the coalition agreement, we penned down that we needed an additional 1,000 kilometres of tarmac roads in our network and this is on course. In Vihiga you saw us commissioning and inspecting the Gisambai-Shamakhokho road as well as the Mago -Lusui road.

"In Bungoma, the President committed to fix the Musikoma-Sang’alo- Mungatsi road and our people in Musanda in Mumias also witnessed such progress. This is what we want our people to reflect on and know that we are steadily moving our region to be counted on the Kenyan map,” Mudavadi said.

He stated that, unlike the former regime, the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto was well thought out and is now a dream that is being realised step after step.

Mudavadi noted that it is also inclusive.

“I wonder how Azimio got the votes it got in our region when its leadership through the handshake brothers duped our people to believe that they meant well for our region development-wise," he said.

"Look at the road network in Central Kenya under retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure and look at the development that was taken to Nyanza by Raila after the handshake. In Western almost everything stalled."
