Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has asked DP William Ruto to tame his allies, following attacks on the first family as he questioned the source of his wealth.

“It was an admirable display of optics and demeanor of humility before his real self and ego came back as he launched a scathing social media attack... directed at the person and family of the founding father of our nation Mzee Jomo Kenyatta who is not here to defend himself,” he said.

"We are sending the DP a public message that we will not countenance his venturing into crossing this line."

Tuju said Ruto must call all his allies to order, adding that they continue to resist a lot of provocation.

"They are luring us to get into the slimy and smelly social media pig sty that some of these people occupy. But we have the truth on our side and Kenyans will be made to know the truth," he said.

Speaking during a press briefing on Monday, Tuju said the President has remained focused and has been very tolerant, accommodating past behaviour.

On his security saga, Tuju said given Ruto's good heart, he should show the youth the skill on how to acquire property in such a short time.

Ruto made a spirited fightback last week over allegations of whipping up a false hustler narrative, insisting he is a true son of the soil who has risen from grass to grace.

He, for the first time, publicly listed some of his sources of income,  revealing he makes Sh1.5 million a day from his Koitalel poultry farm. The farm is home to 200,000 chickens.

"In the intervening seven years. He has “worked very hard” in his businesses and now therefore he has assets like choppers, hotels and land worth billions of shillings," Tuju said.

"The DP should teach us, the clueless adults in this country, how to do the same…Show us another way to perform such miracles."

Tuju said the time is over for cheap media spin doctoring as Kenya witnessed recently when the DP said he would accept G4S security.

"…Now that we know G4S are his standard, it should be easy to calculate the price per askari who were posted to his private properties during the era of blackmail stock options and have it paid to Kenyan tax payers. May be we can also extend that little refund to Wanjiku," he said.

The details came after a security fiasco over his guards saw the state lay bare some of the DP’s massive wealth during a National Assembly security committee meeting.

A presentation by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to the committee showed that Ruto has over 18,500 acres of real estate property, two high-end hotels, five helicopters in two hangers at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and a chicken farm.

Ruto, however, said he only owns 70 per cent of the assets listed, adding he did not own ADC farm.

The Deputy President has come under sharp scrutiny from his opponents, including ODM leader Raila Odinga, over the source of his wealth, with critics saying he is a beneficiary of graft.

However, Ruto has previously been cagey about what he owns and often rebuff questions about his personal net worth during live TV interviews.
