AFC Leopards are set to play a friendly match against Spanish club AE Ramassa in Nairobi as part of their Ingwe@60 celebrations on March 24.

Ingwe chairman, Dan Shikanda said talks are ongoing to have the Catalan fourth division side play them in a friendly next month at Nyayo  Stadium.

Shikanda revealed their celebrations started on February  11 during their 1-0 win over Muranga Seal in the Premier League at Nyayo and will climax with the friendly against the Spaniards.

“Leopards are a big club and we have to give our lovely fans something to celebrate for their loyalty and patience for all these years. We believe the AE Ramassa match will give us enough entertainment as we celebrate our historic moment,” said Shikanda.

The last time AFC Leopards featured in continental football was in 20I8 when they fell to  Madagascar's FOSA Junior in the preliminary round.

“Every team plays in the FKF Cup tournament to win and represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup competition. We have prepared well for our next opponent Shabana to ensure we inch closer to the title,” said Shikanda.
