Denmark FC head coach Mwinyi Lopez says his charges are unstoppable in their quest for FKF Cup glory after upsetting Kenyan Premier League record champions Gor Mahia to reach the Round of 16.

The Ukinda-based FKF Regional Zone ‘A’ league side held the KPL leaders to a barren draw in regulation time before edging them out 5-4 on post-match penalties.

Lopez said they already have their sights on SS Assad, where they hope to continue with their giant-killing antics.

“We will be playing SS Assad in our next match and I know it won’t be an easy task. One of their players is my blood brother and they know us inside out,” Lopez started.

He lavished praise on their agile 18-year-old custodian Mohammed Omar, who stood firm in goal and put in a masterclass act to steer them to victory.

“The goalkeeper put in a man-of-the-match performance,” said Lopez.

Seven KPL clubs qualified for the Round of 16 with 2014 winners Sofapaka scheduled to play FKF Division Two Western Zone ‘A’ outfit Bungoma Stars.

Kenya Police have a date with National Super League (NSL) side Mombasa Stars while Shabana will lock horns with AFC Leopards.
