Muhoroni Youth head coach Charles Odera has said he is not quaking in the boots ahead of their crunch Kenyan Premier League match against record champions Gor Mahia.

Formerly Wazito FC, Muhoroni will dare red-hot K'Ogalo at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Sunday in one of the Round 12 fixtures.

Despite blowing hot and cold in their league outings thus far, Odera reckons they possess the mojo to upset the form book against their more fancied rivals.

Muhoroni are second from bottom with a paltry eight points after 11 matches.

"We have a good squad with the right amount of experience needed to tackle any opponent in the league, including Gor Mahia," Odera said.

"We shall be facing a very good side that boasts many league titles but we can always find a way to deal with them."

Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry will be yearning for maximum points after a three-match winless streak.

McKinstry said he believes they have rested enough to punch above and beyond against Muhoroni.

"We've had a useful break although we have a couple of players who resumed on Thursday after featuring for different countries in the World Cup qualifiers," McKinstry said.

"We have a perfect chance to take charge of the match and go top of the league since the difference between us and leaders Posta Rangers is just a point."

The Irish gaffer will be relying on striker Benson Omalla and wingback Ronney Onyango to bolster his fortunes.

Rangers have a date with Kisii-based Shabana at Machakos Stadium on Saturday while Sofapaka will hope to turn around their fortunes when they face AFC Leopards at the same venue.

Nairobi City Stars will lock horns with Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Annex, Nairobi as coastal lads Bandari host Talanta at Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa on Saturday.

On Sunday, Kenya Police travel to Bungoma for an encounter against Nzoia Sugar

Murang’a Seal will be keen to move top of the table with a win over KCB at St. Sebastian Park in Murang'a.

Ulinzi Stars will flex muscles with Kakamega Homeboyz at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi while Bidco United will host Tusker at Kasarani Annex.
