KCB head coach Bernard Mwalala has called for a cautious approach when the bankers take on Murang’a Seal in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League match on Sunday at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a County.

The two sides are separated by two points, and a win for Mwalala’s boys will see them move to third on the log.

Currently, the Ruaraka-based Kcb is fourth with 19 points after 11 matches- two points behind third-placed Seal which boasts of 21 points.

The return of winger Musa Masika from injury is a timely boost for the bankers in their quest for maximum points on their travels. Haniff Wesonga is also back from international duty with Harambee Stars.

“Murang’a Seal is a good side and since its promotion to the league, the team has demonstrated that it is here to stay with the big boys," Mwalala said.

"We approach this match with a lot of caution owing to their attacking threat. We have seen them bag a lot of goals in the season so far, therefore, we will be out there to defend well and score goals.”

The bankers will miss the services of Harrison Mwendwa who is sidelined with a calf injury.

Brian Olango who is a doubt as well while Maurice Ajwang and Michael Mutinda remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Goalkeeper Byrne Omondi also remains sidelined with a leg fracture he sustained while on international duty.

Midfielder Apollo Otieno, who limped off in the last encounter against Thika-based side Bidco United with a thigh injury should be fit to start against Vincent Nyaberi’s charges.

KCB will then entertain newbies Shabana on December 2, at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County.
