Cynthia Shilwatso grabbed a hat trick on her Kryvbas debut as they ran riot over EMS-Podolyne, beating them 13-0 on Sunday in Ukraine’s Women's Championship.

The Kenyan arrived at the club last week after postponing her travel plans due to political tension in the country. She did not waste time in announcing her arrival by grabbing a 22-minute second-half hat trick.

The win guarantees a second-place finish for Kryvbas in the league behind Vorskla Poltava women with two games remaining to the end of the season.

A second-position finish guarantees a place in the Women’s Champions League qualification stage in the first round.

In the game, goals flowed after the interval with the visiting side finding the back of the net 11 times.

Shilwatso opened her score sheet three minutes after the break then added the second in the 55th minute and completed her hat trick in the 70th minute.

Ukranian Polina Yanchuk stole the show by scoring five goals in the match—all coming in the second half.

Semkiv, Tian, Kochneva, Avramenko and Ivanova all recorded a goal to their name.

Shilwatso will compete in the Women’s Champions League next season if Kryvbas get past the qualification stage.
