Former Vihiga Queens coach Alex Alumira has tipped Harambee Starlets forward Jentrix Shikangwa to return to Europe even as she continues conquering the Tanzania Women's Premier League.

Shikangwa, who plies trade with Simba Queens, was on May 2 feted as the Serengeti Lite women’s Premier League player of the month for March.

The left-footed attacking sensation joined Simba in September last year.

She has been in fine form since ditching Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk and boasts 13 goals in 15 matches to underline her influence.

"I don't think she needs pressure to move. She's already at a good club and we can only hope she gets a better deal abroad. Her stats are encouraging and I'm sure she's going to move," Alumira said.

The pair won three WPL titles together at Vihiga (2018, 2019, 2020). Alumira is currently the Fountain Gates coach in Tanzania women's league.

"I gave her debut in 2018 and she's been fantastic throughout. She deserved the award if her performance are any barometer. She is a hardworking player who always strives for excellence. In football, it's only time that can tell," Alumira added.

The 22-year-old was part of the Starlets' side that won the Cecafa Women's Championship in Tanzania in 2019.

She also helped Vihiga win the Cecafa club Champions League qualifiers in 2021 and also played in the tournament proper in Egypt September the same year.
