Ulinzi Starlets coach Joseph Mwanza believes their away match against Nakuru City Queens this weekend will be more tactical.

The soldiers are also keen on ending their rivals' perfect home record that has seen Nakuru lose just twice this season.

Third-placed Ulinzi have 32 points-five behind leaders Gaspo Women who have accumulated 37 points with six matches remaining.

Nakuru are on 31 points to place fourth in the 12-team league.

Both teams won their weekend matches. Nakuru edged out minnows Kangemi Ladies 1-0.

A brace from Fasila Adhiambo, who joined the team in the middle of the season and Sheryl Angachi's solo strike saw dominant soldiers beat Thika Queens 3-0.

"It is obvious that Nakuru have the best home record in the division at the moment but records are meant to be broken. Good teams fight for maximum points irrespective of the venue," Mwanza, who guided Ulinzi to the FKF Women's Cup glory in 2021 said.

He added: "The match will be more tactical. It will be about analysing the opponent and crafting ways to hurt them. We also need to capitalise on their mistakes. The match means a lot to both teams and we can't afford to lose further ground in the title run in."

Mwanza said it is still too early to make conclusions about the title race.

"No one knows who will win the league title at the end of the season. The top five teams are yet to play each other apart from Nakuru that have played Gaspo."
