Thika Queens' coach Fred Majani has reiterated that his charges can cope without the services of suspended experienced defender Juliet Andibo for the season-defining fixture against Ulinzi Starlets.

The two sides face off in the Kenya Women's Premier League clash at Ulinzi Sports Complex today in a must-win for both teams to keep their title ambitions alive.

Ulinzi are five points shy off leader Gaspo Women while Thika, the 2021 champion, must bridge the seven-point gap that exists.

Andibo has been a mainstay in the Queens' backline for more than four seasons.

She was red-carded against Nakuru City Queens a fortnight ago and will also be unavailable for the visit to Wadadia next weekend.

"We have an able replacement for Andibo. Her absence doesn't worry us at all. The players have to execute what they have been doing in training and I believe we will get a better result after the final whistle," Majani maintained.

"The most important thing is to go for the three points. We lost 3-0 in the first leg. It will be catastrophic firing blanks again against the same opponent. Revenge would be good," Majani added.
