Gaspo Women's match against Zetech Sparks this weekend will likely be postponed, chairman Edward Githua has said.

Zetech have three players in the Harambee Starlets camp in preparation for the friendly match against Albania in Tirana on April 11.  Velntine Khwaka and Elizabeth Wamboi are the Gaspo players in the provisional national team squad.

"We are probably not going to play this weekend if the rules are applied. The law states that if a team has three or more players in the national team for an assignment, then their club or clubs will be exempted from league duties," Githua said.

He went on: "On Tuesday, we received a mail from the federation with regards to the same but we are waiting for confirmation on the decision regarding the fixture."

At the same time, Githua challenged attacking midfielder Diana Wachera to pull up her socks after winning the club's Player of the Month for March award.

The dynamic player was the tormentor in chief against Kangemi Ladies while her performance against Kayole startles deserves recognition.

"The internal award is good for her confidence but she needs to step up. She has the potential to be the best player but needs to train harder. She is experienced, has served Gaspo with distinction, did duty with the national team and also played in Norway."
