The Africa Hockey Federation 24th Ordinary Congress concluded in Blantyre, Malawi on November 28.

Elections for the Executive Board positions were also held.

Kenya's Shiraz Yakub joins the EB as a Federation of International Hockey FIH member.

Egyptian Seif Ahmed was elected President while Zimbabwe's Sarah Bennett will deputise Ahmed.

FIH President Tayyab Ikram was also in attendance and engaged in many discussions with the National Association representatives around engagement and development initiatives for Africa.

Meanwhile, the men's 34th edition of the Africa Cup for Club Champions also ended in Malawi this week.

Western Jaguars rose above all odds to finish second in their second appearance at Africa's Premier competition.

The Mike Malungu-coached side lost 4-2 to champions Sharkia of Egypt who were the defending champions, having won the 2022 edition in Nairobi in early February this year.

The women's 25th edition saw Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA Ladies) retain their title after finishing at the top of their five-team group where matches were played in a round-robin format.
