Eight schools to take part in KSF Kiambu swimming championship

Eight schools have confirmed participation in the Kiambu minnows swimming championship slated for June 10-11 at Crawford International School

Among the schools expected to grace the two-day gala specifically set up for 9 and Under 5-7 year-old swimmers include; the hosts, Potterhouse School - Runda, Braeburn School, Juja St. Peter’s, Juja Preparatory and Senior School, Regis School Runda, Aga Khan Academy and Woodcreek School.

In the March event, Aga Khan Academy topped the combined team scores with a points total of 484.50.

Super Marlins Swim Club and Potterhouse School recorded 405.50 and 313 points to rank second and third respectively.

A delegation from the Kenya Swimming Federation led by public relations officer  Nesmus Mbati met the Crawford International School management and sports department in a bid to plan for the event in advance.

The school administration expressed commitment towards nurturing young swimmers in the region.

"The school has offered to sponsor the certificates of participation to all the participants as part of motivation towards the sport," a statement from Crawford International School read.

It added: "The school will also offer logistical support and work in tandem with the federation in achieving their goals"
