Shabana moved to second on the Football Kenya Federation National Super League after a hard fought 1-0 win over Mombasa Elite at Mbaraki Sports Complex in Mombasa in a midweek fixture.

New signing Dennis Simiyu scored the all-important goal to earn Shabana a hard fought win.

The former Kenya Premier League has recorded identical 1-0 wins over Silibwet Leons, SS Assad and Mombasa Elites.

Kibera Black Stars lead the log with nine points, same as Shabana, but the Kibera side has a better goal difference and have played one more game.

Narok County’s Mara Sugar are third with six points while Silibwet and Mombasa Elites anchor the table without a point three matches into the competion.

Migori Youth came from behind to edge Silibwet 2-1 in a thrilling match.

Jimi Owili’s goal gave Silibwet the lead in the 27th minute but teammate Michael Kahisi scored an own goal in the 41st minute to draw Migori level.

John Mwita notched an 86th minute winner for Migori.
