DTB ‘bank with us’ golf tourney heads to Eldoret for final leg

More than 100 golfers from Eldoret and neighboring towns are expected for the showdown at the famous sports club and course, one of the oldest in the region.

In Summary

• Four  legs have already been held thus far in Kakamega, Mombasa, Kericho and Kisumu, bringing together more than 400 golfers from across Kenya.

• Andrian Monari from Kisii Sports Club won the last event held at Nyanza Golf Club.

Diamond Trust Bank’s (DTB) ‘Bank with us’ golf tournament heads to Eldoret Sports Club for its final leg this weekend.  

More than 100 golfers from Eldoret and neighbouring courses are expected for the showdown at the famous sports club and course, one of the oldest in the region.

Four legs have already been held thus far in Kakamega, Mombasa, Kericho and Kisumu, bringing together more than 400 golfers.

The golf series is the first of its kind to be held by the bank. The aim  is to  grow the sport as well as  boost businesses by bringing services closer to their customers and offering networking opportunities.

DTB Group CEO Nassim Devji said: “We have had a great series with the ‘Bank with us’ tournaments and we are once again happy to headline this last leg in Eldoret. Golf is a great opportunity to meet our customers and we look forward to the networking that takes place on and off the course.”

Andrian Monari from Kisii Sports Club won the last event held at Nyanza Golf Club. He remains the player to watch after carding an excellent score of 40 stableford points to clinch the much-competitive Nyanza edition.

DTB Director of Sales, Kennedy Nyakomitta added: “We have had successful tournaments across different counties throughout the year and we hope our final leg will enable us to reach more customers and also encourage more golfers to participate in the competition.”
