Three Kenyan teams for regional handball show in Zanzibar

National men’s champions National Cereals and Produce Board will be joined by their female counterparts as well as Nairobi Water Queens.

Kenya will send three teams to the East and Central Africa Club Championships set for in Zanzibar, Kenya Handball Federation have revealed.

National men’s champions National Cereals and Produce Board will be joined by their female counterparts as well as Nairobi Water Queens.

KHF fixtures secretary Charles Omondi, who is also the regional secretary, said the Kenyan trio will be in competition between December 4 and 11 tournament against teams from Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo and Tanzania.

Among them are defending champions Rwanda Police, Ngome, Jeshi La Kujenga Taifa and Nyuki.

DR Congo’s Police (men and women) as well as two representatives from Burundi are in the mix.

NCPB continued their preparations  with a routine 40-21 win over University of Eldoret in a league match, Queens were left disappointed after Daystar University failed to show up.
