Strathmore hit Boomerang to go fifth in KHF league

Strathmore University beat Boomerang 37-22 in a Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league clash at Nyayo National Stadium.

The win pushed the students to 20 points for fifth where they are tied with third-placed Black Mamba and General Service Unit (GSU).

Brian Muranguri scored eight goals and Nicholas Munyua five for 'Strath', who led 14-13 at the break. Jospaht Oigo top-scored for Boomerang with nine shots.

Eldoret University 'Pippers' won their third game of the season when they beat Nairobi City County (NCC) 28-25.

Nehemiah Kosgei and Daniel Ombaka registered seven goals a piece for UoE, who led 15-10 at half time. Jim Korolla and Gibson Luyari had five each for NCC.

In their second game, the Eldoret students went down hard to Buccaneers, losing 45-28 after trailing 19-14 at half time.

Randy Ochieng, Jecton Oyugi and Fortune Isaac notched eight goals each for the winners. Kosgei led UoE with nine.
