Reigning women champions Nairobi Water Queens swept National Cereals and Produce Board 34-27 in a top Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league match at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Chilo's national team star Brenda Ariviza connected for seven goals while Cecilia Kito topped the goals for the unstoppable Water Queens.

Sheryl Atieno scored seven goals as Joan Akinyi and Sarah Mabonga each connected for five of NCPB tally.

Net Navigators slammed Amazon 23-9 after taking a 10-5 lead at the breather.

Sharon Akoth bagged six goals and Abigael Wambua made five for the winners.

Five goals apiece from Richard Momanyi, Cliff Odoyo and Bonaventure Kadura did the trick for Thika, who were up 17-15 at halftime.

However, the losers had the highest scorer in Derrick Mwathi with eight goals, George Oginda hit seven and Mark Kihanya and Lewis Maraga shot six each.

Meanwhile, Boomerang crushed to a 41-23 defeat by General Service Unit (GSU). They trailed 23-13 at the breather.

Christoph Mayiende nailed 13 goals, Kefa Masi managed eight and Kennedy Simiyu tallied six for the Thika Road side. The losers had five from Mendel Oigo and four from Moses Macharia.
