Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday asked the Kamba community not to be shaken or worried about the current political events in Kenya.

He said in the end, God will perform a miracle in their favour. He likened political troublemakers to Egyptians who were overwhelmed during the time of Moses.

Kalonzo, who is hoping to be picked as Raila Odinga's running mate in Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, said time is due for God to separate the wolves from the sheep.

He spoke at the Kitui Township African Inland Church where he attended a service. He also attended a fundraiser to support long-serving pastor Rev John Mulu, who had retired.

“There is something God is going to do for Kenya this year. People can see that leadership does not belong to those who have big money to do all sorts of things and abuse other people,” Kalonzo said.

Senator Enoch Wambua and Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi asked Kenyans, especially the church, to pray that Kalonzo becomes Raila's running mate.

Without any direct reference to the matter, Kalonzo said, “That is why I say that the Egyptians you are seeing today who are causing all manner of social confusion, leadership confusion, you will see them no more.”

He said it was prudent for the people to remain still and trust in God and see his salvation.

Others who accompanied Kalonzo included Kitui West MP Edith Nyenze and Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu.
