Comedian and Content Creator Terrence Creative became emotional as he joined the online community in mourning popular TikTok content creator Brian Chira.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the content creator said he was an orphan who, just like Chira, was raised by his grandma.
"Go well Chira. I am an orphan who got raised by a grandma, this one hit me hard. #RipChira You were loved," Terrence said.
He then broke into tears as he sang along to a Kikuyu song while driving.
Some of his fans expressed their feelings about the content creator's emotional tribute to Chira.
One flamingo91 said, "Orphans really go through a lot.. a mother's presence is so important".
Njokisara commented saying, "Ooooh this has made me sad, Only The Wearer Knows Where The Shoe Pinches".
"I am also an orphan and no one could have understood what really Chira was going through. He didn't deserve to die though," Judiedimpoz stated.
Chira will be laid to rest Tuesday at his family's home in Gathanje, Ingitei village in Githunguri constituency, Kiambu county.
His body had been preserved at the Kenyatta University mortuary.
He died on March 16 after an accident.
"It is with heavy hearts and acceptance of God's will that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Brian Chira Wambui, who went to be with the Lord on March 16 in Kiambu," the family announced.
"In God's hands, you rest, in our hearts you live forever. Romans 8:18 -Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us."
An eulogy drafted by the family states that Chira was the son of the late Sofia Wambui Chira, grandson to Esther Njeri and nephew to Regina Njoki Chira and late Alice Njoki Chira.
He was cousin to Ian Mureithi, Ryan Chira, Stacy Chira and Sofia Njeri.
Over the weekend, there was a memorial service and tribute ceremony to celebrate his life at Rainbow Resort in Ruiru.
Chira was a famed TikToker who came into the limelight through a news piece where he was an eyewitness to an accident.
