A content creator and friend of the late Brian Chira has expressed disappointment in some content creators who are using  Chira's death as a stairway to fame.

In a video, Baba Talisha asked all those who have been narrating stories regarding Chira's death to record statements with the police and to stop misleading the public.

“All YouTubers who are looking for people to give the information on how Chira died, alleging that he was thrown out of the car or he was shot should record a statement with the police," he said.

He also said that a lot of content creators have fabricated stories about how or what caused Chira's death.

"It's too bad to ride with a story and you do not know what really happened. You go on camera to lie; it's too bad. So if you have any other information go to Karuri police station," Baba Talisha said.

“The Police station is here, come and record your statements. Anybody who has done such videos, the police station is here. I have been here waiting to get the OB number for the postpartum to be done but I still have to wait because the police have gone to the scene of the accident with his boss,” Baba Talisha said.

Baba Talisa earlier announced that Chira will laid to rest on March 26 in Githunguri where Chira's grandmother lives.

"The body viewing will happen at Kenyatta Funeral Home and not at the grandmother's home in line with the  Kikuyu tradition," Baba Talisha said.

Chira died in a road accident at around 3 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with reports of his demise spreading on social media on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred on the Ndenderu-Ruaka Road in Kiambu County around 3 am on Saturday.

The white speeding lorry that struck the influential social media personality did not stop at the scene.

When the tragedy happened, Chira was being taken home by his friend on a motorbike.

The friend bumped into Chira outside a club in the area after security guards had thrown him out for allegedly causing chaos at the entertainment joint.

Witnesses claimed he was drunk and unruly. By then the management was planning to close the club and Chira was alone.

A friend who knew Chira offered to carry him to his house in the area.

On reaching the Gacharage roundabout, Chira is said to have alighted the motorbike and then ran to the main road where he was knocked down by the speeding lorry and died on the spot.

His body was taken to Nairobi Funeral Home (formerly City Mortuary) but it was later moved to the Kenyatta University funeral home.

"The funeral service will be held where his grandmother has been residing because there's a spacious ground and it will accommodate people well. It's a very nice place," Baba Talisha said.

"However, not everyone will fit in the place, maybe close family and a few people like the priests. The rest will remain on the other side eating, while the burial is conducted," he added.

Baba Talisha also informed fans and online followers who wish to attend Chira's funeral to make their own travel arrangements, saying he would provide directions.

Chira was an orphan and was raised by his grandmother.
