A 17-year-old boy was arrested after he stabbed and killed his friend in a fight in Dandora, Nairobi.

The boy told police the deceased first attacked him prompting the fight that turned tragic.

Police said the teenager killed a male adult known to him in the Sunday morning incident.

Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said preliminary findings show the boy claimed the deceased had earlier beaten the boy.

This happened at their compound in Dandora Phase 4.

“The parents claim the deceased man had earlier on threatened to kill the teenager before he followed him to the scene where a fight broke out before it turned fatal,” Bungei said.

The man arrived at the house and started to beat up the boy, police said.

According to police, the boy rushed to their house and picked up a Somali sword, which he used to stab the assailant around the neck and chest fatally injuring him.

Police visited the scene and found the deceased lying outside the veranda of a one-storey building with visible cut wounds on the neck and a deep stab wound on the chest.

The motive of the fight was not immediately established. The boy was arrested as investigations went on.

The body of the man was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

Meanwhile, police in Embakasi are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found near Imara Daima Railway Station.

Police who visited the Sunday evening scene said the body is aged about 25.

The body had several head injuries at the time it was discovered.

It is suspected the man was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene.

The motive is yet to be established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
