President William Ruto on Friday unleashed a bag of goodies as he toured Siaya county, assuring residents that they are part of his government.
The President said under his watch, no region will be excluded from development because all Kenyans pay taxes.
"Let nobody lie to you that you are out of this government, you pay taxes and this is your government," Ruto told the residents.
The President, who is on a four-day tour of opposition leader Raila Odinga's Luo Nyanza heartland, said his administration will serve all Kenyans equally.
"It is backward and primitive to imagine that any region of Kenya cannot get development on account of how they voted," he said.
Ruto said his administration has a grand plan to transform the lives of the people of Siaya through investments in Agriculture, blue economy, manufacturing and value addition.
The President gave Sh100 million to the Ugenya Level 4 Hospital that will be constructed in partnership with the county government.
"Because I'm here and I'm the boss, I will give Sh100 million, and because Orengo has added Sh50 million, we shall now build a four-storey level 4 hospital," Ruto said.
The President promised that his administration will work with Siaya county to also equip the facility once completed in the next four months.
Ruto also donated Sh5 million to the Ugenya Medical College and a similar amount to Inungo Primary School while he handed another Sh3 million to Urenga Primary School.
The President said he will return to Siaya county in December to launch the Affordable Housing project that will see the construction of 5,000 housing units.
At the same time, Ruto donated Sh30 million to the county's rice mill project that will see a value addition centre built to help farmers.
"The project will help our farmers to deal with hunger," Ruto said.
On the community health promoters, Ruto said the national government will be sending Sh50 million annually as part of its pledge.
The Siaya County Government will pay a similar amount for the 2,000 health promoters in the county.
Ruto disclosed that his government spent Sh4 billion on the equipment for the promoters countrywide.
The President said the Cabinet has approved an additional Sh4 billion for the Lower Nzoia rice project as part of the efforts to enhance food security.
