A Kiambu-based family is in agony after four of their children were involved in a grisly road accident.

The mother of the kids explained that three of them succumbed to the injuries while in ICU. One of them survived the accident.

"They had gone to pick up their sister then they come back. I wouldn't know how they found themselves here in this accident," she said.

At the accident scene, images seen by the Star show a lorry with a cracked screen, a motorbike and another vehicle with a broken bumper.

As the mother narrated the painful ordeal, she explained that the four told him they were fine the last time she spoke to them.

"The last time I spoke to them was at around 9.30 am. They told me they are okay. George left at 9 am to pick up his sister. I don't know how all of them ended up in the accident scene," she said.
