The Azimio la Umoja coalition will hold a public Baraza at the Kamukunji grounds from 2 pm.

This forms part of the continued negotiation process with President William Ruto's side.

"After church service at St Stephen’s Johoo Road, we will proceed to Kamukunji Grounds, Shauri Moyo at 2 pm,” a digital card reads.

Raila said the demos will run parallel to the planned bipartisan talks in Parliament after Ramadhan next week.

On Thursday, Raila announced a fresh round of street protests, which were halted two weeks ago to pave the way for dialogue between the government and the opposition.

Speaking at Ufungamano House where he met multi-sectoral leaders at the start of Azimio’s town hall meetings, the former prime minister accused Ruto’s wing of insincerity.

“I agree with what you have said, the talks will happen alongside demos. Dawa ya moto ni moto. We will announce [new dates for protests] after Ramadhan,” he declared.
