Investments, Industry and Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has revealed that he has visited 23 countries since he was sworn into office. 

Speaking at the Connected Summit 2023 in Diani, Kuria said his trips focused on talks with investors and looking for markets for the country. 

"The number one area of interest in Kenya is renewable energy followed by technology," he said. 

Kuria said there is a lot of interest in technology, mainly to invest, fund and establish businesses in Kenya that are technology driven. 

"Money is available, if we structure talents and business, be transparent and visible then more money will come," he added. 

The CS further said the government is in place to set up the first tech fund that will be managed by the state. 

"I have equity investors, the money will be outsourced as we are working with World Bank toward the agenda, create business and ask me for the money," Kuria said.
