Parliamentary Watchdog Mzalendo Trust has launched a tool to help keep track of the government's promises.
The Promise Tracker is an accountability tool that Mzalendo says will track the government's implementation of its promises as captured in the party manifesto.
"The Promise Tracker will be seeking to drive open governance by tracking how the Executive informs the legislative agenda at both national and subnational levels," they said.
They said the Promise Tracker will be tracking Kenya Kwanza's pledges as contained in the party manifesto from September 13, 2022, when President William Ruto was sworn in.
The tracker has broken down the promises into different phases: First 100 days, short-term goals, medium-term goals and long-term goals.
"A quick statistic shows that 50 promises made have not been started, 32 are ongoing, two have stalled, six have already been completed, zero have been modified and seven promises have already been broken," they said.
The Promise Tracker, they said, also includes the promises captured by the Azimio Manifesto.
"We will be tracking how their Members of Parliament vote, prioritize budget conversation and oversight," they said.
They welcomed members of the public to check out the tracker on their website https://tracker.mzalendo.com and share their feedback.
"As a Parliamentary Monitoring Organisation, we will periodically provide updates on the proposals by legislators from both the ruling and opposing sides that speak to their respective agendas. Stay tuned!" They said.
