Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will Wednesday hold talks with all the governors from Western Kenya.

The Amani National Congress boss is meeting the four governors to allegedly map the region's development agenda.

While sources said the meeting would focus on development issues only, it is likely that politics will feature in the deliberations as well.

The governors include Fernandes Barasa(Kakamega), Wilber Otichilo(Vihiga), Kenneth Lusaka (Bungoma) and Busia's Paul Otuom.

It is not clear if Trans Nzoia's George Natembeya will attend.

"The governors from Western Kenya will on Wednesday hold a meeting with the Prime Cabinet Secretary," said a source aware of the meeting.

The PCS has met Barasa and Otichilo separately in the past.

This is one of the many meetings that Musalia is holding with elected leaders from his Western backyard.

Analysts have said the ANC leader is plotting an aggressive charm offensive to consolidate the region ahead of 2022 polls.

Last week, Musalia met Members of Parliament from Western Kenya from across the political divide in what was as his boldest move yet to consolidate Western Kenya.
