Otile Brown's tribute: Singer performs 'One Call' at Chira's burial

Musician Otile Brown on Tuesday delivered a heartfelt rendition of his hit song 'One Call' at TikToker Brian Chira's funeral.

He took the stage and sang the song as the mourners sang along with him to the song.

"One call away Call me if you need me. Shujaa wako. I'm only one call away," they sang.

The singer had earlier offered to perform the song at Chira's funeral acknowledging the deceased's love for the song.

"Would love to perform the song at the burial and help me make it memorable for him if that is possible," he said and further urged those attending the burial to learn the lyrics to the song.

The song was Chira's favourite song and the singer acknowledged that his death had made Kenyans to flock his YouTube channel to stream the song.

"What Chira is doing to #OneCall is just crazy. His light is bright and the love is felt. Rest well King," Otile Brown had earlier written on social media.

The song currently has more than four million views on YouTube.

Brian Chira passed away on Saturday, March 16 after he was hit by a speeding lorry.

He was a famed TikToker who first came to the limelight after an interview he did with NTV after witnessing an accident went viral.

Chira will be laid to rest today at his family's home in Gathanje, Ingitei village, Githunguri in Kiambu.

"It is with heavy hearts and acceptance of God's will that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Brian Chira Wambui, who went to be with the Lord on March 16 in Kiambu," the family announced.

"In God's hands, you rest, in our hearts you live forever. Romans 8:18 -Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us."

According to an Eulogy by the family, Chira was the son of the late Sofia Wambui Chira, grandson to Esther Njeri and nephew to Regina Njoki Chira and late Alice Njoki Chira.
