Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula on Saturday rallied Isiolo residents to champion President William Ruto's mission of unifying the nation.
Wetang'ula emphasized that one of the Kenya Kwanza government's primary goals is fostering unity among Kenyans adding that progress can only be realised when all the people pull in one direction.
"As residents of Isiolo, let us support President William Ruto and his agenda in building the nation," he said
Wetang'ula spoke during the Interdenominational prayers and thanksgiving service at Isiolo Boys High School for Mohamed Liban, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Petroleum.
He also told Isiolo residents to lead by example in embracing diversity, stating that together with other leaders, they will help the President deliver on his manifesto.
"I, along with my colleagues, shall work tirelessly to help the President deliver on his manifestos and promises for a better and prosperous country," Wetang'ula added.
Addressing Isiolo residents directly, Speaker Wetang'ula praised the county as a vital hub within Kenya's development plans.
He recalled discussions during the design of the LAPSET project, highlighting Isiolo's role as a center for international trade and a key location for the petroleum industry.
"The plans have not collapsed. The President is proactive in ensuring that the government's presence is felt in every corner of the nation," Wetang'ula affirmed.
The former Bungoma Senator also lauded Isiolo residents for voting for Ruto during last year's general elections, telling them they are part of this government.

Jubilee Party also scooped all the top five elective seats in Isiolo County.
The incumbent Senator Fatuma Dullo was also elected on the Jubilee ticket alongside former CAS Mumina Bonaya who won the woman rep position.
Also, former Isiolo North MP Samal Lomwa bounced back on a Jubilee ticket while former speaker Mohamed Tupi won the Isiolo South parliamentary seat on the same party ticket.
However, Governor Guyo insisted that it was important for Isiolo to realign itself with the Government of the day as the time for politics is over.
In June this year, Governor Guyo announced to had joined the UDA party and was officiated by the party’s secretary-general Cleophas Malala.
