Two minors died in a fire incident that was started by their mother in a house in Saina estate, Kajiado County.
The fire, which started Tuesday at around 2 pm, spread quickly burning down the iron sheet made house.
The bodies of the two children aged 10 and two were found after the fire had been contained, police said.
The remains were taken to a local mortuary pending autopsy.
Love triangle is among motives under probe over the incident, police said.

She cited differences with her husband as the reasons for killing her children.
Neighbours said she lit a gas cylinder and set off the fire as she and her children were in the house killing the two.
Preliminary investigations point to the mother who was said to have had a domestic quarrel with the husband over the phone for the last two weeks, police said.
The husband is alleged to have been cohabiting with another woman and he has been away for the last weeks.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing, police said.
The incident comes barely two weeks after another woman allegedly killed her two young children and stabbed her husband three times before attempting to die by suicide in Ongata Rongai.
The woman who is admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), in critical condition is accused of stabbing her husband after an argument in their house along Maasai Lodge Road.
The argument between the couple turned tragic after the woman allegedly stabbed the man three times, on the head and neck, after he arrived home past 1 am.
The man ran out for his safety leaving his children dead and the woman with injuries. Both of them are in hospital.
