KeNHA to expand Museum Hill, JKIA lanes to curb traffic

Upgrades at the Expressway will involve construction of a new Haile Selassie toll station

KeNHA is expected to construct additional extra lanes on the Nairobi expressway at the Museum Hill exit and JKIA entrance to accommodate growing traffic.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Kenya National Highways Authority said it will undertake enhancement and improvement works on the Expressway.

"These upgrades will involve the addition of extra lanes and construction of a new Haile Selassie toll station to facilitate the seamless flow of traffic into the CBD," Kenha said.

KeNHA appointed Centric Africa Limited to prepare the environmental and social impact assessment for the upgrade works.

"KeNHA plans to hold public consultations meeting in conformity to the provisions of the constitution of Kenya and Environment Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) Cap 387," they said.
