Azimio la Umoja One Kenya affiliate parties have made changes to their social media pages.

The changes came just hours before their charged protests in Nairobi, dubbed "Date with Destiny".

In the changes, the Twitter pages for ODM and Jubilee parties now have profile pictures and cover photos with the words #RutoMustGo.

The same had been done for their Facebook pages.

Gideon Moi-led Kanu also effected the changes.

However, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya and the Wiper parties had, however, not made any changes.

The opposition has been calling on President William Ruto to step down and hand over power to Raila Odinga, who they claim is the rightful winner of the August 2022 presidential poll.

This is despite the Supreme Court ruling and IEBC tally that declared President William Ruto the president.

The Azimio side had given the president a 14-day ultimatum to effect the same among other demands which included lowering the cost of living.

Following the lapse of the 14-day ultimatum, Raila led other opposition allied leaders in anti-government campaigns across the country.

The rallies would culminate in a mega protest today (Monday).

According to Raila, they will peacefully march to the State House to present their petitions to President William Ruto.

Raila, however, clarified that only a few individuals will walk into the State House if allowed.

"We will hand over our petition to the President wherever he will be, but peacefully… If he will be at State House, only two or three people will walk into State House to go and present the petition," he said
