Requiem for consular staff to be held in London on Tuesday

The Kenyan Commission in the UK has announced a requiem for the late David Gatuthu.

Gatuthu, who was a senior member of the political team at the Kenya High Commission in London, passed away after a short illness. 

In a statement, the Commission said it will hold "an evening of remembrance, reflection and prayer", at the Chancery at 45 Portland Place, London WIB 1AS.

The remembrance service will be held on Tuesday at 5:45pm to 7:00pm GMT. (8.45pm to 10pm Kenyan time).

"At the Chancery building, a condolence book will be made available for signing," the statement added. 

Gatuthu's death was confirmed by the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS, Alfred Mutua, on February 18.

He sent a message of condolence to his family, friends and the entire Ministry for the loss. 

"My sincere condolences to the family of one of our Foreign and Diaspora Affairs staff David Gatuthu, who passed away while on posting after a short illness," Mutua said.
