Raila 'blesses' former PA to serve in Sakaja's cabinet

ODM leader Raila Odinga has "given his blessings" to Nairobi Boroughs Administration and Personnel CEC Ibrahim Auma.

In a statement on Saturday, Raila acknowledged Auma's service under his leadership and urged him to deliver the same servanthood to the City.

Raila and Auma had met earlier in the day.

"Today I am like a proud father. After serving me diligently for many years, @IbrahimAuma_ was recently tapped to join @SakajaJohnson’s cabinet to head its Boroughs system," he said.

"To Ibbie, I give you my blessing. Deliver to Nairobi with the same heart of service we know you so well for."

He served under the Azimio leader as a Personal Assistance before his appointment to his current role.

In a statement on his Twitter handle, the CEC thanked Raila for his mentorship.

"Today I had the deep honour of being formally released by my mentor @RailaOdinga - who I have served as Personal Assistant for a long time - as I take up the role of Nairobi Boroughs Admin and Personnel executive," he said.

"Baba, thank you so much for teaching me servant leadership."
