UDA chairman Johnson Muthama has called on Kenyans to shun attempts by Azimio leader Raila Odinga to allegedly cause disunity among Kenyans.

In a statement on Sunday, Muthama said that Kenyans have moved on from the election period.

"Kenyans have moved on and are working hard to build the nation in peace. The Mass Action Raila has called for on December 7, 12 is a clear indication that he has failed to reconcile himself with the reality of the times we are living in, where every effort must be directed towards uplifting the lives of those who occupy the bottom of the economic pyramid," he said.

"I, therefore, call upon every Kenyan to shun his attempts to cause disunity in this Country."

This comes days after Raila said he will hold protests following the suspension of four IEBC commissioners.

The four commissioners are vice chair Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit.

Raila has been protesting Ruto's move to suspend the four who differed with IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati over the August polls results.

He condemned the suspension of four commissioners terming the move as political.

The opposition chief said that Kenyans should convene at Kamukunji Grounds on December 7 and 12, to discuss how to make the Kenya Kwanza government accountable.

"We will return to the same venue on December 12 to continue with these consultations on the state of our Nation," he added.

President William Ruto suspended the embattled IEBC Commissioners and appointed a tribunal to investigate them.

The tribunal is chaired by High Court Judge Aggrey Muchelule.
