WhatsApp which is a popular messaging App stopped working for many users across the world, with users across Kenya, Africa, India, the United Kingdom reporting issues with sending and receiving texts and videos.

The app has become a critical means of communication for households and businesses.

The APP is now working for the Android and iOS apps as well as via WhatsApp Web.

However, some people said that services are still not working on WhatsApp Web.

A Meta company spokesperson Josh Breckman told New York Times that they are aware of the hitch.

"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," he said.
