Ruto returns to Kiambu on another charm offensive as Raila storms the city

This is the second time Ruto will camp in Uhuru's backyard in less than a week.

Deputy President William Ruto will on Sunday return to Kiambu county on another charm offensive in less than a week.

The second in command will first attend a church service at St Andrew's Catholic Church in Limuru, before proceeding with other planned political engagements.

He will then make stopovers at Rironi shopping centre and Kwambira where he will address area residents.

Ruto will then proceed to Kikuyu where he is expected to commission the Thogoto Thirime Primary School.

This is the second time Ruto will be seeking to woo Kiambu county residents to elect him President in the August 9 General Elections.

On Thursday, Ruto took his presidential campaigns to President Uhuru Kenyatta's backyard of Kiambu county, where he addressed residents of Ùthìrù Gìchagi, Kìnoo, Zambezi, Kiambaa/Mùguga Market, Kabuku Centre, Ngecha Shopping Centre, Wangigi town, and Kikuyu town.

ODM leader Raila Odinga is also expected to attend a church service in Kawangware on Sunday.

The former Prime Minister will then storm the city where he is expected to hold a series of rallies in a bid to woo voters.

On Saturday, Raila took his Azimio la Umoja gospel to Murang'a county where he was warmly received.

During his tour of the city, Raila will be accompanied by a host of Members of Parliament allied to Azimio la Umoja.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his One Kenya Alliance partners will on Sunday take their campaigns to Kirinyaga county where they will be hosted by Narc Kenya leader Matha Karua.
