Education ministry to improve infrastructure in schools

The Education ministry has allocated Sh6,000 per student each year to cater for maintenance and improvement of learning in public secondary schools, CS Amina Mohamed has said.

She said the money is part of the Sh22,244 Free Day Secondary Education funds. Funds under maintenance and improvement of learning will cater for facilities such as classrooms, science laboratories, hostels and dining halls. Parents with children in boarding schools will contribute Sh2,000 towards the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure.
