Six suspected thugs were shot dead in separate incidents in Nairobi and three pistols recovered.

Two were gunned down at Riruta, two others in Kayole while another two were killed in Soweto and Pangani respectively.

This brings to 15 the number of suspected criminals shot dead in the last two weeks.

In Kayole, a businessman was also shot dead by three gunmen who robbed an unknown amount of money from his Mpesa shop.

The gang had posed as customers before they shot the man at a close range.

No arrest has been made so far.

Elsewhere, a man was crushed to death by a crane as he offloaded cargo from a lorry in Industrial Area.

Human rights defenders including International Justice Mission, Amnesty International, KHRC and KNCHR have on many instances questioned the killings.

The argument is that the police should arrest criminals and subject them through a judicial process.
