Police are investigating a murder in an incident in which the body of a man was found on the roadside in the South B area, of Nairobi.

Pedestrians told police they found the middle-aged man’s body on Monday with fresh blood oozing from the mouth and nose.

Police believe the victim was murdered elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene.

The motive is however yet to be established, police said.

The surroundings had no signs of struggle, which prompted the theory he was murdered elsewhere and the body dumped there.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.

In the Embakasi area, another body of a man was found on a bench.

Police who visited the scene said the man was in half sitting position on a bench inside the veranda of a wines and spirits shop with blood oozing from the nose and mouth.

He also had a stab wound on his back, which went through the chest.

It was later established from the joint waiter the deceased was in the company of his friends when they disagreed over some money.

One of the friends hit the deceased on the back using a sharp object as they escaped the scene.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and identification.

No arrest has been made over the Monday night incident and efforts to get the assailant is ongoing, police said.

Yusuf Abdikadir was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital after he was stabbed in the chest by his wife using a kitchen knife.

The couple was in their room along Third Street where they have been living when the incident happened.

Police said the two picked up a quarrel that turned fatal when the woman used a kitchen knife out of anger to stab the man in the chest.

The woman was later arrested after police visited the scene.

Abdikadir was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An autopsy was conducted on the body before it was released to the family for burial.

And in Butere, Kakamega County, a 23-year-old man was killed in a robbery.

The body of Kevin Ateya was found on the roadside in Emukokho village moments after he had been hacked to death by an unknown assailant.

His brother told police he was with the deceased when they were attacked by the assailants on the road.

The two had been watching football at the local shopping centre and were walking home when they were attacked.

It is not clear if the suspects stole any valuables from the deceased or what their motive was in the Sunday night incident.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations, police said.

No arrests have been made over the murder.

Police say cases of murder are on the rise and they are making efforts to solve them.
